Into the wild

According to a local news report from last year December- February is wolf breeding season. This is a time where wolves can become more aggressive, particularly to dogs. My dogs are indoor dogs so our risk is lower but it’s still there.
Two nights ago at midnight laid in bed listening to the neighbor dog go bananas. Barking and howling incessantly for almost 30 min. The following morning when I took the dogs out to do their business I found tracks, what I thought was just another dog, well to be honest at first I thought mountain lion. After further investigation, I think I had a wolf, or two. There are two sets of tracks so I am not sure if it came back or if there was a friend. But regardless Sunday night I had a large visitor.
For comparison: my little dogs dog prints: About half the size of the clothes pin, maybe an inch and half for Renji’s feet.

And our resident Canis lupus visitor: still unsure if it’s a wolf or a dog but it has big feet.
